Hello,

First pictures of the new FJR1300

Features:

FJR1300 - Supersport Touring Perfection
For 2006, listening to FJR owners has led to a tremendous amount of refinement for rider and passenger alike. New airflow management works to keep both the rider and the bike cooler and more comfortable, while adjustable seat, handlebars, windscreen and middle fairing make it easy to find the perfect position. New bodywork, lights, mirrors and instrumentation raise the level of quality, and a new fuel-injection system and unified brake system with standard ABS add to the FJR’s exceptional functionality.

Electrically adjustable windscreen with greater range of adjustment for improved wind protection
High-quality instrumentation with integrated gear indicator
Adjustable seat, handlebars and middle cowling
New, standard ABS system with unified braking system
Sleeker, slimmer overall profile
New airflow management system and heat shielding

Hi Seabiker,

Thanks for the info.
We had access to this information yesterday (see our thread http://www.fjr1300.it/modules.php?op=modload&name=MDForum&file=viewtopic&p=5230#5230) and there has been quite a debate over the features of this new model.

Good looking, but heavier, too.

We're not entirely "sold" on the integral-braking feature. Most of us like it better as it is now (with ABS, of course).
The motorbike press here had also hinted a few weeks back at a new transmission option (automatic 6-gear Tiptronic-type) but it looks like the reporter was dreaming -- or drunk.

Anyway, we'll look for further details and specs on the Yamaha website.

Groetjes
